Our Client is looking for a talented, highly motivated individual to help build their emerging finance team. The controller is responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, annual audit management, and ad-hoc projects. This individual should have a CPA designation, be well-versed in technical accounting. This is a hands on position requiring a broad knowledge of accounting and finance to create policies and procedures that keep pace with the growth of the company.


  • Responsible for all aspects of accounting, reporting, and compliance, including: G/L, financial reporting, disbursements, revenue recognition, cash management, payroll posting, tax filings, stock option administration, etc.
  • Responsible for monthly financial close activities, including journal entry review and account reconciliations
  • Supervision of accounting staff
  • Work with the VP of Finance to evaluate, recommend and implement new financial accounting policies, procedures and controls
  • Assist in the management of the annual financial audit
  • Actively partner with other business operations and departments to build scalable processes and drive best practices
  • Manage property tax, sales tax, and business related taxes
  • Provide support to finance management and internal customers as needs arise, including ad-hoc projects


  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables, macros)
  • Microsoft Dynamics – Great Plains experience or equivalent ERP is preferred
  • Demonstrated analytical and organization skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; proven ability to collaborate with senior management and external business partners to drive change
  • Comfortable prioritizing multiple work streams across daily responsibilities and long-term projects
  • Must be team oriented; enjoys working with colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or business-related majors
  • CPA certification required, Big 4 preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP
  • Minimum 7 years of increasing responsibility in accounting or finance
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience
